How does copper slow down aging, exactly? I understand that the water is “charged” but doesn’t drinking water in general slow down aging? I ask this because I’m curious. Personally I prefer metal bottles over plastic because they keep my water cold.

Copper is involved in numerous physiological and metabolic processes critical for the appropriate functioning of almost all tissues in the human body. In the skin, copper is involved in the synthesis and stabilization of extracellular matrix skin proteins and angiogenesis. There have been clinical studies that show that the use of copper, embedded with microscopic copper oxide particles, improve the well-being of the skin. Copper plays a key role in the synthesis and stabilization of skin proteins, and it also has potent biocidal properties.

Thank you for replying! I appreciate the detailed explanation 🙂 Wow, I never knew copper was so important for metabolic function and overall well-being. It seems to be a metal that is overlooked and doesn’t get enough attention!
