Does Losing weight equals to gaining confidence!

Ever thought that :

WHEN you lose weight, THEN you’ll feel confident? Or

Will wear good clothes only when I look a certain way?? Or

M so ugly/average looking cause I am fat??

Our entire life our body seems to be up for a discussion or a Never ending quest to look a certain way

Whether that’s commentary by men, commentary by our caregivers, commentary even by our friends/family, commentary from our peers, commentary you inadvertently or overtly receive via social media or advertising campaigns.

My journey with my body have been a rollar coster. If you are new to my blog’s, let me quickly tell you my struggle to gaining confidence and losing weight.

For the majority time of my life, I was a obese girl. Every one around me made me feel worthless just cause I didn’t look a certain way(am sure it wasn’t intentional by them). But, somehow I always felt that I was a beautiful human being, inside out. Until, I went to a family function where everyone made me feel like I don’t belong there. I was 130 kgs (286 lbs). Thankfully with dedication, hardwork, determination (lot of mistakes) I lost the weight but them I started losing my confidence. With the kind of weight loss I have been through, I got lot of stretch marks and loose skin.

And I started to gain back a little bit of weight to cover my lose skin. But then I realised, it’s not how my body looks that matter. It my health which should always be my focus. In short, I worked on my mindset and obsession with weight.

In fact, yesterday on my Instagram I shared my weight loss/ body confidence journey and I received so many messages from other women who could relate.

I shared that for the majority of my life, up until just a few years ago, my weight and my body were something that made me feel so unworthy, not good enough, unattractive, unloveable and caused me to have a significant disgust for myself and my body.

What’s sad is that these women knew EXACTLY how I felt.

Maybe you can relate?

Is your mind always full with thoughts about how uncomfortable you feel in your body, feeling ashamed of your appearance, how much you dislike your body and just WISHING that you could change it so that THEN… (and only then)

you could feel confident and comfortable in your own skin?

If you can relate, it’s time to do something about it.

Please don’t waste your time, hating yourself, in emotional pain, and not living your life because of how you feel about your body.

The truth is –

How worthy you are and how confident you can feel in your body actually have NOTHING to do with your appearance.

Your body confidence depends on you FEEL about yourself.

You need to start LIVING YOUR LIFE
