If you are a beginner , the recommend time for meditation should be anywhere anywhere between 5 to 10 minutes every day. The important point is be consistent. The first two minutes are difficult, especially for you to focus within, however after that it becomes relaxing.
You keep increasing your time as you get comfortable with the practice. Start by chatting”om” or box breathing method.
Focus on your energy within and don’t get bothered by your thoughts. Gradually, your thought flow will decrease.
The most important thing is to just start. You are trying to set a new habit here. So try meditation on calming music if you like.
There is no right or wrong way to meditate. The Idea is to focus within yourself. Sit with yourself and find calmness within.
Make a ritual to meditate at a set time everyday. You may not be able to tell the difference but people around you will find you more relaxed and happy.
After a few weeks, you will love the time you take out to meditate. It will be your little”ame”time.
We are all different, there isn’t a right amount of time to meditate. However, it’s like driving or practicing a musical instrument. The more time you invest in practice, the better you get at it.

I meditate to experience the part of me that feels limitless. I meditate because I know that I’m a better, nicer, kinder, and more relaxed person when I meditate. I’m more patient with myself and others. But also, I love life more when I meditate.
