Lifestyle change

What is a Lifestyle change? Why is it important?

This morning my sister cooked rich breakfast, Poori and Bhaji. She is an excellent cook. If she wants, she can open her own restaurant. She was so excited for me to try it. With all my heart at right place, I told her I will only have a bite since fried food doesn’t suits me. She looked confused since she has seen me eating variety of food. I explained her thr idea is to eat in moderation and bring it as a lifestyle change.

Over the years of experience and guidance of experts I understood what suits my body, skin and health. Statistics show going back to the same routine and making temporary change will give us temporary results.

Remember,

The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine

Treat your body as a temple. Eat right, hydrate and add some physical activity. Let me share my secret, try it. I ASSURE you; you will notice a change.

80-20 RULE

Eat 80% what is right for your body and 20% what you like on your tongue. What we eat today impacts our body and skin immensely. I know it sounds boring, trust me its not. Just choose healthy alternatives, instead of fried opt for sauté. Instead of oil dressing in salads opt of dressing without oil. Make a list of food items you love and try and make it a healthy version of it. Make use of baking, boiling and grilling instead of frying.

Repeat after me I will not starve myself.

Hydrate

We give water a lot less importance. Dehydration in body causes more issue than we can imagine. Do you know muscle pain, body pain, brain fog, weight gain and lots of skin issues happen due to lack of water in body? Drink water every hour. Do not step out without a water bottle. Every time I feel hungry, I drink a glass of water first as our brain send us the same single for dehydration and hunger.

Limit salt intake.

Anything in excess is harmful except cloths, jokes apart. Excess salt/sodium impacts our kidney, impacts blood pressure, weight gain and few more. Sodium influences the pH, or acid-base level, of the blood. Any deviation in the electrolyte balance can affect the fluid levels and cause dehydration or overhydration. Try limiting it in smaller proportions and gradually your taste buds will adjust. Smaller changes like eating fruits and salad without salt.

Exercise

Exercising releases endorphins in body which is also known as happy hormones. Any form of physical activity gives you that little me time we need, also uplifts your mood and the bonus will be look fitter. Exercise delivers oxygen and nutrients to your tissues and helps your cardiovascular system work more efficiently. And when your heart and lung health improve, you have more energy to tackle daily chores.

I understand change doesn’t happen overnight, you have constantly work on it. Even though change can be difficult, many times it’s also for the best. Accomplishing anything great in life requires us to make significant changes that push us beyond our comfort zones.

I have given my secret away to you. I assure YOU, if you try my secret you will notice a change.

You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending. -C.S. Lewis
