Over the years I have learnt, we are often kind towards the world but hard on ourselves. We are so used to look down upon ourselves, doubt our own capabilities and keep conditions on ourselves to be happy. For instance, we often say to ourselves “If I achieve a specific goal I will be happy.”Or “if I lose weight or look a certain way I will be happy.”
WHY can’t we be happy anyway!!! Our Happiness should not be co-depended on our achievements. According to phycology, happy people achieve more in life when compared to unhappy ones.
Don’t put conditions on your own HAPPINESS.
I stumbled upon this on twitter, it one of the best poems I read recently. I loved it so much that I read it quite a few times. I want to share it with you. Will attach a printable version of it as well. Do download it. You can make it your laptop or cellphone’s wallpaper.

You are not your age,
Nor the size of clothes you wear,
You are not a weight,
Or the colour of your hair.
You are not your nameOr the dimples in your cheeks,
You are all the books you read,
And all the words you speak,
You are your croaky morning voice,
And the smiles you try to hide
You’re the sweetness in your laughter,
And every tear you’ve cried,
You’re the songs you sing so loudly,
When you know you’re all alone, You’re the places that you’ve been to,
And the one that you call home,
You’re the things that you believe in, And the people that you love, You’re the photos in your bedroom,
And the future you dream of, When you decided that you were defined, By all the things you’re not.
You’re made of so much beauty,
But it seems that you forgot.
